Our Happy Clients Throughout RI and MA
We’ve completed over 10,000 roofing, siding and window projects since our start in 1983! Communities big and small have trusted our family and team with their homes. This has lead to repeat clients, referrals, and happy homeowners across these two great states. Why settle for less?
Some of Our Favorite Communities
We’ve been the local choice for over 35+ years for roofing, siding, and window replacement in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Our family and team have grown over the years, allowing us to serve more of our neighbors than ever before. Although, you won’t find us on Block Island or Martha’s Vineyard, there are plenty of cities and towns that we do cover. Below is a brief summary of our most common project locations, and why we love them. Please call our office at 401-438-1499 for full availability.
Rhode Island
Barrington
Over the years we’ve learned that our windows are a town favorite in Barrington. Why? Because when locals compare us to national competitors, they’re shocked to learn how much more beauty, value, and efficiency we offer.
Bristol
Bristol holds the longest, continuous fourth of July celebration in America – and although our history working here didn’t start in 1776, we’ve been here for decades. As a resident himself, our estimator Adam Park loves to work with his local neighbors in the East Bay.
Burrillville
Located in the northwest corner of Rhode Island, Burrillville is known for its historic mills and rich history. The town was founded back in the 1600s and many of the houses have an effortless New England charm that can be enhanced with maintenance free vinyl siding.
Central Falls
Although it’s the smallest city in the smallest state, Central Falls is always buzzing with people, including former resident and award-winning actress, Viola Davis. Their cultural diversity shines and their population has families from 100+ countries around the world- wow!
Charlestown
South County has amazing Rhode Island beaches including East Beach and Charlestown Town Beach where locals soak up the sun and enjoy the soft sand. We make sure to keep Charlestown homes ready for any coastal storms, so they can relax with peace of mind.
Coventry
Anyone who visits Coventry knows that its one of the best places to enjoy nature. There are hiking trails, bike paths, and acres of undeveloped landscape to create the perfect backdrop for a country home. For the farmhouse look, we like to suggest Autumn Red siding by CertainTeed.
Cranston
Who hasn’t been to the annual Gaspee Days Parade!? Cranston is a Rhode Island treasure with its beautiful historic mills, incredible history as a shipping port, and vibrant local community. Cranston has an eclectic mix of capes, cottages, and historic Victorian homes. Cranston resident, and 92 PRO FM radio personality, Jessica Schiano turned to us when she needed new windows and wanted a company who could maintain her home’s historic charm.
Cumberland
Over the river and through the woods, to Cumberland we often go! We love to take the scenic route through this area with all its natural beauty and winding hills. Tom Marshall loves the look of neutral colors in this area for siding, like Natural Clay and Granite Gray.
East Greenwich
East Greenwich resident Len T’s house has a complicated roof, and unfortunately, he had to learn the hard way that not every contractor is up for a highly detailed project. When his new roof already needed a “redo” only a few years after another company installed it incorrectly, we were there to get the job done right.
East Providence
The Riverside area of East Providence has been home to our flagship office since 1983. We love this community, and some of our fellow small businesses like Borealis Coffee Company and Farnsworth Cafe. Our neighbors and friends know that Marshall Building and Remodeling is the community choice for roofing, siding, and windows in the East Bay.
Exeter
While a lot of Rhode Island’s coastal towns thrive in the summer, Exeter blooms in the winter. This town is full of opportunities for family fun thanks to mountain range activities like snow tubing, skiing, and snowboarding offered by places like Yawgoo Valley.
Foster
Salty Brine engrained “No School: Foster-Glocester” into every Rhode Islander thanks to his radio show and their “snow belt.” The two towns may share a school system and his slogan, but they have so much to offer separately, like Foster’s Town House, the oldest meeting house in the USA.
Glocester
There are quite a few villages in Glocester like Chepachet and Harmony, which almost seem like towns on their own thanks to local pride. We’ve enjoyed helping Glocester homeowners prepare for harsh winters including how to avoid roofing ice dams.
Hopkinton
Part of the Chariho school district, Hopkinton is known for it’s historic industrial villages spread across the town. A few of the most well known are Hope Valley, Ashaway, Rockville, and Bradford – which are so unique they even have their own post offices.
Jamestown
You may not expect this quiet town to be a Hollywood hotspot, but over 5 movies have been filmed here with stars like Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell. We’ve done quite a few projects in this area, but we’re still waiting to run into a movie star.
Johnston
When we think of Johnston, we think of families. A lot of our business relies on repeat customers and referrals, and Johnston is one area where we find ourselves the choice for generations of families who trust us with their homes.
Lincoln
John Marshall worked with Kristine Donobedian on her deck replacement and made sure to walk her through every step of the way. From the research, to product selection, and working with the manufacturer – Kristine says she’d recommend Marshall again and again.
Little Compton
We know this seaside town well and we’ve even worked on the Town Hall before to replace its windows. Since this is an area where Cedar Shakes are king, homeowners are often amazed to see how many siding options we have that maintain the cedar look.
Middletown
Take it from local resident Tony Moniz, “Andy, Bob and Sean and his crew did an amazing job. I would recommend them to anyone. Top notch work. Very clean and professional. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Extremely satisfied.”
Narragansett
Did you know the town of Narragansett has very strict rules when it comes to window installations and meeting hurricane requirements? We do. That’s why homeowners have been choosing us for decades, we take the guesswork out of exterior remodeling for you.
Newport
Dave Santos loves being the resident expert for Newport County. He’s found that roofing companies in the area charge high prices because of Newport’s island location. That’s not our style though, we’ve never been afraid of crossing a bridge or two to serve our clients.
North Kingstown
Don’t be fooled by North Kingstown’s quaint look, the train station here opens this town to quick access to both Boston and NYC. Residents with far commutes love us because we work with even the busiest schedules, thanks to night and weekend appointments.
North Providence
The celebrations never stop in North Providence. From Memorial Day, to Independence Day, to Pumpkins in the Park and a Christmas Tree Lighting, there’s always a reason to have fun. Luckily, we can plan around any parade or festival, so homeowners don’t have to worry.
North Smithfield
One thing we’ve noticed after 35+ years working in North Smithfield, is how warm and welcoming the residents are. This classic suburban area is teaming with families and friendly neighbors who have even made time to stop by our projects and say hello.
Pawtucket
We have so many fond memories of family fun days at McCoy Stadium watching the Paw Sox play here. Pawtucket has been a booming town for a long time thanks to the industrial revolution. We love restoring the beauty of historic homes in this area.
Portsmouth
One of TJ Johnson’s Portsmouth projects has become one of our favorite remodels. Dennis and Geraldine Smith transformed their house with a siding renovation, roof replacement, and an unusual request of building a cupola.
Providence
Is there anything Providence doesn’t have to offer? Highly acclaimed universities, rich appreciation for arts and culture, and a creative hub for business startups – this small city offers everything and more. No two providence projects are ever the same!
Richmond
Over 60% of Richmond is made up of woods and nature preserves, so it’s not one of our most frequent project locations – but the homes we have worked with in Richmond have certainly been worth the trip.
Scituate
Scituate is made up of over sixteen small historic villages that came together in the 1700s to form current day Scituate and Foster. There’s so much history from the Revolutionary War, we find ourselves fascinated by this town.
Smithfield
Bryant University has changed the landscape of Smithfield into the business minded community it is today. When young alums stay in the area after school to settle down, we’re happy to work with them on their first-time exterior remodeling projects.
South Kingstown
Go Rhody! Home to the University of Rhode Island and the nationally ranked Rhody Rams, we’ve worked with hundreds of local families that bleed blue and white – and sometimes even model their project color choices to show off their school pride.
Tiverton
This breezy location has beaches and outdoor activities galore. There are many different types of homes in this town and we’ve worked with them all, from hillside Victorian homes, to woodland ranches, to harbor side capes, there’s something for everyone.
Warren
Originally from Warren, RI, hometown celebrity WPRO’s Matt Allen is one of our most vocal supporters. You can often find Matt at the station raving about our service or chatting with Tom Marshall about advice for local homeowners.
Warwick
Four generations of Jason Midwood’s family have chosen Marshall. As a Warwick resident, Jason has many options when choosing a contractor, but when asking the people, he trusts most for their opinion, there’s definitely a favorite in this family – Marshall.
West Greenwich
This Kent County gem has a wide variety of community events and things to do. We enjoy heading over to the West Bay when the weather is warm for some of the summer concerts and hiking trails.
West Warwick
Believe it or not, West Warwick is actually the youngest town in all of Rhode Island. This mill town’s claim to fame is the famous Royal Mills trademark, which these days can be found used by the company Fruit of the Loom.
Westerly
This ocean side oasis transforms during the summer months with thousands of tourists flocking to its beaches. We don’t make it down there every day, but when we do, we’re amazed with the views this area has to offer.
Woonsocket
This small, tightknit community has changed a lot over the years, and we’ve seen it go from a quiet countryside to more of a bustling commuter hub for Providence. Through it all, its still a place where everyone seems to know their neighbors by name.
Southeastern Massachusetts
Acushnet
Our Project Coordinator Meg McCaffery never misses an Apple-Peach Festival in Acushnet every Fall. Who could say no to apple pies and peach cobbler? Those desserts are almost as sweet as the residents.
Attleboro
Arthur Bouchard, Attleboro homeowner with a 45-year history in the real estate industry, as a property manager and developer of modular homes, raves about his experience working with us. “The installers were the best I have ever seen!”
Bellingham
It’s no surprise that a town that’s over 300 years old has needed its fair share of roof replacements. When residents aren’t busy visiting Arcand Park Beach or Silver Lake Beach, you can usually find them calling us for a new exterior remodeling project.
Berkley
Rebecca Gibbons from Berkley says it best, “From the first meeting with TJ to the final product they were very thorough. I guess the best recommendation I could give is that I would use them again, a lot of contractors you can’t say that about.”
Blackstone
Members of the Blackstone community are committed to preserving the historic elements of the town. We’re also dedicated to this cause and always take the aesthetic requirements into consideration when taking on the remodeling projects of historic homes.
Canton
Home to our very own T.J. Johnson, Canton is a very special town! T.J. has seen his fair share of fly-by-night contractors in the area, and that’s why he’s proud to work with his neighbors and show them that home remodeling doesn’t have to be a nightmare.
Dartmouth
Home to many of our family members, Dartmouth has a special place in our hearts. If you’re in town, you may even run into co-founder Dave Marshall sailing around, or Chelsea Marshall grabbing a Chippi from Mirasol’s Café.
Dighton
This spacious town may look rural, but they are on the cutting edge of green energy efforts and farming rights. Dighton residents know that replacing old windows can significantly increase the energy efficiency of a home, and for best results they choose an expert installer like Marshall.
Fairhaven
What a sweet place to live! Especially thanks to Dorothy Cox chocolates, a community staple and Marshall’s choice to satisfy a sweet tooth. This community works together to support small businesses, including ours, and we couldn’t be more thankful for our Fairhaven customers.
Fall River
Located on the beautiful Mount Hope Bay, Fall River is an ever-evolving city. From the infamous Lizzie Borden Trial, to the textile manufacturing boom, to becoming “the Scholarship City” this city keeps us guessing at what will flourish next.
Foxborough
Go Pats! We’re always hoping our next call will be from former New England Patriots’ Quarterback Tom Brady. Until that call comes in though, we’ve been able to work on some amazing houses in the area – some we might even consider the “greatest of all time”.
Franklin
Franklin is located smack dab in the middle, between Providence, RI and Boston, MA. They have many choices when it comes to contractors, but our consistent word of mouth referrals keep us coming back to the area over and over.
Freetown
This historic area offers both a cozy small town feel and a rural retreat. For those that want to kick back and enjoy a peaceful setting, our stress-free, worry-free warranties have you covered.
Lakeville
Home of New England staple Ocean Spray, famous for their cranberry flavored juices and products. If you live close to a cranberry bog, you’ll want to make sure you have windows that keep the extra air moisture out of your home.
Mansfield
Concerts, comedians, shows, and entertainment are all readily available at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA. People come from all over New England to attend and the venue has been voted one of the most popular concert locations.
Marion
Located on Buzzards Bay, this town has a classic downtown area with the same classic Cape Cod architecture even for the commercial businesses. Although most of our business is residential, we do work with select commercial businesses on buildings of two stories or less.
Mattapoisett
It’s no surprise that this seaside town, Mattapoisett translates to “Place of Peace”. The surroundings are serene and when locals work with Marshall Building and Remodeling they’ve got our Workmanship Warranty to keep it that way.
Middleborough
Middleboro is a great place to stop on the way to Cape Cod, they have tons of restaurants and shops to enjoy. The Victorian style of town buildings and homes is really breathtaking and the you can learn so much about the town from the local museum.
New Bedford
This city is best known for it’s whaling history, museums, and cultural influence – but to us it’s best known for being home to Judy Marshall and her family. If you stop by for one of the cities events or festivals, you might see Judy walking around with her pup Asher.
Norfolk
Many homes in Norfolk were built in the 80s and 90s which means many are in need of some exterior remodeling TLC. If you wait to long to replace your roof, it can cause serious issues from leaking to structural water damage depending on where the shingles deteriorate first. Don’t wait, call today.
North Attleborough
We’ve done hundreds of projects in North Attleboro! From new roofing, to upgrading to premium vinyl siding, to a new house full of beautiful energy efficient windows, there’s a neighbor in this town who’s done it with Marshall.
Norton
This town comes alive during the Autumn months when the leaves are changing. People come from all over to go to the parks and enjoy the natural beauty that Norton has to offer. Just make sure when you start enjoying that colder weather that your home is ready for winter with a free exterior home inspection.
Plainville
This town may have a casino, but residents don’t like to take risks and gamble with their home remodeling projects. They call us at Marshall Building and Remodeling right from the start to make sure their home and wallets are taken care of.
Raynham
Route 44 is known for cars, cars, and well, more cars! That’s not the only place you can get any brand you want; Marshall also offers our customers the freedom of choice. We won’t tie you down to one manufacturer like some companies do, we let you compare them all and choose what’s right for your home and budget.
Rehoboth
Rehoboth resident Stacey Carvalho has been one of our biggest cheerleaders since her project completed in 2014. She went through the ringer when looking for a contractor and couldn’t have felt more relieved after choosing Marshall.
Rochester
Rochester, located along Buzzard’s Bay, thrived during the whaling and shipbuilding era. We’ve learned a lot from its rich marine history, but when it comes to commercial fishing, we’ll leave it to the professionals – but that doesn’t stop co-owner Andy Marshall from trying to catch the next big striper.
Seekonk
Route 6 makes Seekonk a daily destination for us, you’ll often see us up and down the road going to and from appointments or stopping for lunch at our usual spot Lemon and Oil – try the caprese salad it’s a Marshall favorite.
Sharon
Pretty as a postcard, Sharon has a lot more to offer than just it’s good looks. Many families choose to settle down in this area and many have stayed for generations. We love the eclectic mix of home designs. There are many historic homes, homes for the 1950s and 60s, and even new builds happening today. Whatever type of home you may have, we offer products to fit your home and budget.
Somerset
This town has an amazing sense of community and thrives as a suburban choice for families. We’ve work on many projects in Somerset and homeowners agree that the transformations are more than just aesthetic, they are stress-free, maintenance free, and energy saving.
Swansea
It’s great to see so many families in this area who still ride bicycles around town, show school pride at athletic events and theater productions, and who all seem to care about each other. As a family ourselves, we love this kind of atmosphere.
Taunton
This lively city is actually one of the oldest towns in the USA. You may have heard this city called the “Silver City” due to it’s past as a silversmith hub, but we like to think the name comes from how many homeowners who choose Mastic’s Silver-Grey Premium Vinyl Siding.
Walpole
Walpole can face some extreme weather conditions during both the summer and winter months because of its inland location. Being extra cold in the winter and extra humid in the summer means a lot of constant wear and tear on your home’s exterior. Hiring and exterior remodeling company that works with more than one area of the home is key to making sure each installation goes off without a hitch.
Westport
Beach goers flock to Horseneck Beach and the shores of the Westport River to enjoy some fun in the sun. That sun can take a toll on your home’s exterior though, which is why it’s important to perform an annual inspection of your house’s perimeter.
Wrentham
It’s not just shopping and outlets here, there’s lots of great things to do and see in Wrentham. Of course, our favorite thing to do is to remodel the gorgeous houses in this area and increase their values for homeowners.
